At least 3 years of teaching or research experience in Public Administration, Governance, Political Science, or related fields within African universities or research institutions, plus a relevant postgraduate degree (MSc, MPA, PhD). Lecturers, researchers, and university faculty from across the continent are welcome.
Successful completion of CIPAG‑accredited certifications (e.g., CPA®, CGP®, CACS®) or equivalent professional exams, plus at least 2 years of governance practice in an African context. Emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and applied competence relevant to the continent's public sector challenges.
Both routes lead to the same membership tiers – Associate, Fellow, and beyond – recognised across African governments and regional bodies.
