Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Get Certified?

Minimum requirements for each CIPAG certification level.

Associate Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 2+ years public sector experience (or 1 year with relevant internship)
  • Basic English proficiency

Professional Level (CPA®, CGP®, CACS®)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Admin, Poli Sci, Law, Economics, or similar
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Completion of CIPAG foundation course or exemption exam

Fellow & Above

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of senior leadership in governance
  • Demonstrated contributions to the field (publications, reforms, etc.)

International candidates: Foreign degrees are accepted after verification by CIPAG’s credential evaluation service.

No-Refund Policy for Membership

All direct professional membership fees are non-refundable. This includes new membership, upgrades to a higher membership tier and annual renewals, however they are paid.

  • No refunds for change of mind or for unused months or benefits.
  • Application, portfolio review and interview fees are non-refundable once submitted.
  • Duplicate or incorrect payments are always corrected in full.
